Smell sensor using QCM (crystal oscillator). The surface of the crystal oscillator mounted on the sensor is coated with 16 different sensitive films to capture smell components. Odors can be captured by measuring frequency changes when these sensitive films adsorb and desorb smell components and patterning them.

What is the measurement time?

A

You can freely adjust the measurement time within the settable range. The acquisition time of smell components can be set within any range. In addition, it is equipped with a cleaning function before and after measurement, which can be set at any time.

What is the difference between gas sensors and analytical instruments?

A

Gas sensors can detect specific components, but they cannot capture the entire smell that is present. Analytical instruments such as gas chromatographs can separate odors into component units and quantify each component.
